At JobsPlus our goal is to help businesses find and retain qualified employees. Our Employer Services Team is ready to work with you to understand your employment needs and tailor our services to assist you.
Recruitment
Our Employer Services Team can connect your business with job seekers throughout the local area as well as across the state and nation. We will help you recruit employees by listing job orders, hosting job fairs, and developing specialized recruiting agreements.
- List your job orders - We have three easy ways to list your job orders:
- Participate in job fairs - JobsPlus is a co-sponsor of the Panhandle Job Fair, one of the largest on the Emerald Coast. Two fairs are held each year, one in the Spring and one in the Fall. - Participate in specialized recruiting agreements - JobsPlus can design a recruiting program to meet your special needs. Contact one of our Employer Services Representatives to discuss your needs.
Applicant Screening
At JobsPlus we are able to screen applicants for the skills needed to meet the requirements of the job. We offer several types of web-based assessments:
- Clerical Assessments - We are able to assess competencies in many web-based programs, such as MS Word, Excel.
- Aptitude Assessment - We are able to measure general aptitude in general areas such as verbal, numerical, spatial, and clerical perception and relate the results to particular occupations.
- Interest Assessment - We are able to assess interests and relate the results to particular occupations.
- Emotional Intelligence - We are able to develop personal profiles that focus on the emotional intelligence factors that are known to help one succeed in change, customer service, leadership, ability to learn, ability to sell, teamwork, and more.

Employer Incentives and Workforce Training Programs
JobsPlus is able to connect you with information on hiring incentives and customized workforce training programs. For additional information, click on the following links:
- Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) - This hiring incentive may be available to employers hiring welfare recipients and individuals from other special groups.
- Welfare to Work Tax Credit - This federal income tax credit encourages employers to hire long-term family assistance recipients.
- Incumbent Worker Training - This state program supports customized training for existing businesses, with a focus on layoff avoidance through skill upgrades.
- Quick Response Training - This state program supports customized training for new and expanding businesses.
Assistance with Downsizing and Business Closures
When it is necessary to downsize or close a business, JobsPlus is available to assist you. At your request our Rapid Response Team will meet with your employees to inform them about resources available to them that will assist in their employment transition.
Labor Market Information
JobsPlus can provide you with the latest Labor Market Information available through Florida's Office of Labor Market Statistics. This information can help you determine whether or not you are paying a competitive wage for the county or region. It will also give you information on employment projections and much more.
